The founder president and festival director BR Vikram Kumar (Bathina Vikram Goud) is a trained classical dancer, theatre actor and director who passionately believes in the cause of preservation and promotion of Indian art and culture and is uniquely qualified to head the organisation. His love for Indian art forms made him establish Nataraj Music and Dance Academy (NMDA) and organise seven dance festivals including the Vysakhi Nrithyotsav –An All India Classical Dance Festival. 

His deep-rooted thirst to document and promote Indian art and culture made him launch a national monthly cultural magazine in English titled ‘The Dance India’ to quench his thirst. He heads the magazine in the capacity of an Editor-in-Chief and stands as a cultural beacon for the future generations.

Apart from his service as a founder president, festival director and editor-in-chief, he is also an ardent philanthropist and indulges himself in several social activities every year viz.  Distribution of clothes to folk artists and disabled children, distribution of books, distribution of food grains, distribution of steel vessels awards to talented people and organise dance performance by challenged persons.

He is a man on a mission for peace. ‘Global Peace through Indian Dance’ is a slogan that he has been adhering by since several years.
